A Rare and Unusual Pair of Blue and Gilt Pistols. With octagonal turn-off barrels, decorated with gilded scrolls at the muzzles and breeches and retaining traces of original blue, gilt box-lock actions decorated with stands of arms on both sides, blued dolphin hammers, chequered walnut butts with unusual tiger masks with gold eyes and mouth detail, Birmingham proofs.
Probably made for the Indian market. Very decorative and elaborate pistols.
