A Rare Waters Patent Flintlock Blunderbuss Pistol, No. 411, Circa 1781. With belled brass barrel and action in one piece, the former with two turned mouldings at the muzzle, side mounted ramrod (tip missing) with iron worm, and folding bayonet beneath, with hollow ground triangular section with locking catch on one side, and ‘Patent’ above the serial number on the other, steel trigger guard incorporating the sprung bayonet release trigger, engraved with diamond shaped panel on the bow, engraved thumb piece safety catch, figured butt of swelling octagonal section.
