A Superb Cased Pair of Percussion Belt Pistols by J. Hesketh, Barnard Castle. With round blued barrels, engraved, J. HESKETH BARNARD CASTLE along the top flats, fitted with captive ramrods beneath, stamped with London proofs towards the breech, profusely engraved box-lock actions, decorated with scrolling foliage, cocks decorated en suite, with sliding safety catches and fitted with blued belt clips, finely chequered walnut butts, with engraved ovoid butt caps with traps, engraved trigger guards decorated with foliage on the bows: in their original fitted case lined in velvet, with all accessories including fine powder flask, bullet mould, turn-screw etc. A good set retaining almost all of their original finish.
