A Pair of Silver Mounted Flintlock Holster Pistols by Dalton of Dublin. With two-stage octagonal to round barrels, stamped with Daltons mark and Dublin Castle proofs, retaining traces of original colour, grooved border engraved tangs decorated with scrolling foliage, gold touch-holes, stepped border engraved locks, profusely decorated with scrolling foliage and signed ‘DALTON’ within a scroll surrounded by flowers, both cocks working life replacements, decorated en suite, full stocked in walnut with raised mouldings around the tang (some small repairs to the wood work - see pictures) full cast and chased silver mounts comprising pierced silver foliate side-plates, spurred pommel caps engraved with foliage, the caps with grotesque masks, vacant silver escutcheons, silver baluster ramrod pipes with horn-tipped ramrods. No silver hallmarks.
