A Pair of Percussion Queen Anne Pistols by Stanton. Converted from flintlock, with blued three-stage cannon barrels, numbered ‘1’ and ‘2’ respectively and stamped with London proofs and barrel smith marks, engraved ‘STANTON’ above the breeches and ‘LONDON’ below, profusely engraved tangs, cocks and actions profusely engraved with scrolling foliage throughout, half-stocked in walnut with raised foliate aprons around the tangs, with hall-marked silver mounts comprising pierced side-plates, grotesque masks and escutcheons engraved with what appears to be a Phoenix.
