A Pair of Irish Overcoat Pistols by W. Pattison of Dublin. With round sighted barrels cut with shallow sighting grooves, stamped ‘LY 3104’ and ‘LY 3103’ double platinum line breech blocks, with gold poincons stamped ‘Wm PATTISON N L VADY’ engraved tangs fitted with rear sights, border engraved locks, one in original flintlock configuration, one has been converted to percussion, full-stocked in walnut, with engraved silver escutcheons on the side, ‘WJ’ engraved steel mounts comprising border engraved butt caps, border engraved trigger guards decorated with a game bird on the bow and with pineapple finials, horn tipped ramrods.
