A Pair Of 54 Bore Silver Mounted Flintlock Travelling Pistols by Collis of Oxford, London Silver Hallmarks for 1777. With turn-off cannon barrels stamped with London proofs beneath the breeches, box-lock actions engraved with scrollwork, signed on a rococo scroll on the left and inscribed 'OXFORD' on a further scroll on the right, figured swelling walnut butts inlaid with silver wire rococo scrolls (some losses) silver grotesque mask butt-caps and engraved steel trigger guards decorated with a flower on the bows.
