A 11 Bore Percussion D.B. Sporting Gun by J. Manton & Son. With browned twist barrels, silver fore-sight, engraved, ‘John Manton & Son London’ in script along the central rib (rubbed) profusely engraved breech with platinum plugs, profusely engraved tang, signed border engraved locks decorated with scrolling foliage overall, dolphin hammers engraved en suite, figured half-stock with chequered wrist and fore-end (chequering smooth) border engraved steel mounts comprising but-plate with scrolling foliage, trigger guard also covered in foliage on the bow and foliate pineapple finial, rear ramrod pipe and barrel bolt escutcheon decorated en suite, and what appears to the the original brass mounted ramrod.
