A Superb Long Flintlock Horse Pistol by Heylin of London. With sighted round barrel, engraved ‘LONDON’ within a tear-drop and stamped with London proofs and Heylins own barrel smiths mark, barrel tang cut as rear-sight and decorated with scrolling foliage, border engraved rounded lock and cock, signed ‘HEYLIN’ below the pan and decorated with a spray of foliage at the tail, full-stocked in walnut with raised foliate moulding around the tang and lock (old hair line crack on grip), with engraved brass mounts comprising border engraved solid side-plate, long eared butt cap, decorated with a stand of arms on the butt, foliate engraved trigger guard with acorn finial and brass ramrod pipes, with original horn tipped ramrod.
