A Flintlock Overcoat Pistol by H. Bailes of Ipswich. With sighted octagonal barrel engraved H. BAILES IPSWICH along the top flat, with single gold line at the breech with gold touch-hole, profusely engraved tang fitted with rear-sight, stepped bevelled lock signed H. BAILES IPSWICH and fitted with a sliding safety catch, decorated with sprays of foliage at the tail and a sun burst beneath the pan, full-stocked in walnut, cut with a band of chequering at the grip, steel trigger guard signed H. BAILES within an oval and surrounded by stands of arms, with pineapple finial, single turned ramrod pipe with captive ramrod.
