A 25 Bore Flintlock Duelling Pistol by A. Wilson of London, No. 4089. With heavy browned
octagonal barrel, signed ‘ALEX R WILSON, SHERRARD STR T. LONDON’ along the top flat (engraving refreshed)with platinum lined breech with Wilson poincon and platinum touch hole, profusely engraved tang fitted with standing rear-sight, profusely engraved lock, fitted with sliding safety catch, signed beneath the pan, cock decorated en suite, half-stocked in walnut cut with chequering at the grip, with vacant silver rectangular escutcheon and barrel bolt, engraved steel mounts including butt cap, trigger guard and horn fore-end cap.
