A Brass Barrelled Flintlock Blunderbuss by Patrick of Liverpool. With belled octagonal to round barrel engraved ‘LIVERPOOL’ long the top flat and stamped with Birmingham proofs, fitted with a top-mounted sprung bayonet, the bayonet is released by a sliding catch on the tang, signed border engraved lock, decorated with sprays of foliage and fitted with a sliding safety catch, full-stocked in walnut, cut with a band of chequering at the wrist, engraved brass mounts comprising butt-cap, trigger guard and ramrod pipes, brass mounted ramrod with worm.
