A Fine & Rare Gilt Hilted Broadsword, 17th Century. With broad double edged blade, tapering towards the point, decorated with scrolling designs and traces of the blade smiths name, cut with a narrow fuller in the centre of the blade, steel gilt hilt comprising shallow circular fluted guard decorated with scrolling designs, slender quillons with globular terminals, the knuckle guard decorated en suite, swelling urn shaped pommel decorated with flutes and swirls, with original wire bound grip with two Turks-heads, retaining approximately 45% original gilding.
