A Fine 12-Bore Flintlock Rifle By R. Fenton of London, Circa 1792. With heavy round browned twist sighted barrel, decorated with an etched sunburst design towards the breech and fitted with a standing back sight, platinum vent, border engraved barrel tand, signed border engraved stepped lock, figured walnut half-stock, chequered grip, engraved steel mounts comprising butt plate, foliate engraved trigger guard with pineapple finial and ramrod pipe, two browned steel ramrod pipes, silver barrel escutcheons, horn fore-end cap and with horn-tipped ramrod. An extremely interesting piece.
