A Crisp 54-Bore Percussion Pocket Pistol by Ellis of London, Circa 1850. With round turn-off barrel, decorated with a band of foliage at the muzzle. Stamped beneath with Birmingham proofs, deeply engraved box-lock action, signed ‘ELLIS’ within an oval surrounded by arms, to the right and ‘LONDON’ to the left. fitted with a sliding safety catch. Deeply chequered walnut butt with rectangular silver escutcheon, signed ‘I D’ with silver lions head butt cap. In lovely unmolested condition overall, retiring traces of original finish.
