A Cased 54 Bore Percussion Tranter Patent Five Shot Revolver with Spare Cylinder.  With recoloured octagonal sighted barrel engraved with a band of foliage at the muzzle and with scrolling foliage on each side of the breech, border engraved top-strap with retailers name and address (rubbed) recoloured cylinder with knurled forward edge and decorated with scrolling foliage, re-blued foliate engraved frame, trigger guard and butt cap, with detachable rammer, safety-stop, arbor pin and catch, chequered rounded butt: in original lined and fitted mahogany case with accessories including James Dixon & Sons flask with split ring for suspension, brass bullet mould, the exterior of the lid with vacant brass escutcheon.
