With browned twist barrels signed, ‘HORSLEY, YORK’ along the central rib, case hardened breech block decorated with scrolling foliage along the central line and with platinum plugs, deeply engraved steel tang, cut with sighting groove, signed stepped locks beautifully engraved with scrolling foliage and game birds, dolphin hammers decorated en suite, figured walnut half-stock cut with a band of chequering at the grip, with engraved steel mounts comprising, butt cap, trigger guard decorated with scrolling foliage and game birds on the bow, and foliate designs around the ramrod pipes, white metal barrel bolt escutcheons and rectangular white metal escutcheon on the wrist with original owners coat of arms engraved: contained in original lined and fitted case with accessories. A beautiful little gun.
