A Beautiful Pair of 54-Bore Flintlock Pocket Pistols by Collis of Oxford. With round turn-off barrels on pistol numbered '1' the other blank (barrels frozen) stamped beneath with Tower private proofs, border engraved steel actions, signed 'COLLIS' on a scroll decorated with foliage to the left and 'OXFORD' on a scroll decorated with foliage to the right, slender walnut butts with chamfered edges, completed with oval white metal escutcheons engraved with the original owners initials in script 'W P'. trigger guards lock the steels. A beautiful pair of pistols.
