A .650 Flintlock Volunteer Pattern Baker Rifle, Early 19th Century. With sighted barrel and bayonet bar on the right side at the muzzle and rifled with seven grooves, there bore in superb condition, plain tang, stepped bevelled lock, signed in script, ‘Broomhead’ with rainproof pan, figured full tock with cheekpiece, regulation brass mounts including spurred trigger guard and hinged patch box cover, vacant brass escutcheon, sling loops and original steel ramrod. One side nail an old replacement (original kept in patch-box).
