An Early Flintlock Blunderbuss by W. Brazier, London. With three-stage brass barrel swelling at the muzzle, stamped at the breech with London proofs and Braziers own mark, plain steel tang, border engraved ‘banana’ lock-plate stamped with makers name, cock decorated en suite, full-stocked in walnut (slither repair at the muzzle end) with raised moulding around the tang and swelling around the ram-rod opening, engraved brass mounts comprising foliate engraved side-plate, flat butt plate nailed in, plain trigger guard and turned ramrod pipes, with what appears to be original brass tipped ramrod.
