An Untouched Pair of Queen Anne Pistols

An Early Pair of 22-Bore Flintlock Pistols Of ‘Queen Anne’ Type By T. Scamadine, London, Circa 1715. With two-stage cannon barrels, the breech engraved with a single leaf, plain tangs, border engraved actions with raised mouldings to the undersides and signed underneath the springs, ‘SCAMADINE’ one cock missing top-jaw the other a working life replacement, the pistols both fitted with wooden ramrods beneath, swelling walnut butts with raised mouldings around the tang and locks, scrolling serpentine side-plates and beautiful lions head masks. A beautiful pair of early pistols in completely untouched condition.
