A Percussion Overcoat Pistol by Kavanagh of Dublin. With sighted octagonal barrel fitted beneath with a captive ramrod, signed ‘DUBLIN’ along the top flat, foliate engraved breech, box-lock action fitted with rear-sight and foliate engraved throughout, chequered walnut grip. In nice crisp condition overall.
Shop at 12 Dane Street, Dublin, Ireland. Made double barrel, over and under, percussion pistols with swivel ramrod and pin-fire shotguns. Later they handled percussion revolvers.
