An 1866 Chassepot Breech Loading Needle Fire Rifle, No. F58073, Dated 1867. With russet sighted barrel rifled with four grooves, retained by two spring-held barrel bands and fitted with a bayonet lug to the right side of the muzzle, folding adjustable graduated back-sight, bolt-action, three-quarter stock, pin repaired stock, cracked near the bolt, regulation steel mounts, sling loops and original steel cartridge-extraction rod.
