An 1822 Infantry Officers Sword. With single edged pipe-back blade, possibly a ‘fighting’ sword as there are numerous nicks to the cutting edge, Gothic hilt with GR IV cartouche, wire bound fish-skin covered grip, in its brass mounted leather scabbard (stitching at fault).
