A Superb Musketoon by D.Moore, London. With octagonal to round four-stage barrel, belled at the muzzle, engraved ‘DL MOORE – LONDON’ along the top-flat, stamped with Moores barrel smith mark and London proofs, border engraved steel tang cut with a sighting groove, domed border engraved lock signed beneath the lock, fitted with a sliding safety catch, cock and frozen engraved en suite, full-stocked in walnut cut with a sharp apron around the tang, brass furniture incorporating engraved brass side-plate, engraved butt plate, signed oval escutcheon ‘H REVELL’ brass trigger guard decorated with a star-burst on the bow and stylised acanthus leaf finials, turned ramrod pipes and original brass tipped ramrod with worm. In stunning condition overall.
