A Superb Flintlock Musketoon by J & W Richards. With long octagonal to round three stage barrel, belled at the muzzle, stamped with London proofs at the breech, border engraved steel tang decorated scrolling foliage, border engraved lock signed ‘J & W Richards’ cock and pan decorated en suite, full-stocked in walnut, inlaid with scrolling silver wire around the tang, with pierced brass side-plate, oval escutcheon and engraved butt plate, trigger guard engraved with a flower head on the bow and with acorn finial, two brass ramrod pipes and bras tipped ramrod. In fine condition overall.
