A Snider Mark III Cavalry Carbine, Dated 1871. With round sighted rifled barrel and retained by a barrel band, folding adjustable back-sight, pivoting breech block with sprung catch, dated flat lock, stamped ‘1871’ and ‘ENFIELD’ and with crowned Ordnance mark, the tail with Crowned ‘VR’ figured half-stock, regulation brass mounts including butt plate with hinged circular butt trap cover (cleaning rod missing) brass trigger guard.
