A Scarce Starr Double Action .36 Model 1858 Navy Revolver. With round sighted barrel retaining traces of original finish, solid frame stamped ‘STARR ARMS Co. New York’ and ‘STARRS PATENT JAN. 15. 1856’ retaining some original finish toward the rear of the frame, one piece walnut grip, matching serial numbers throughout.
Made 1858-60, in a total quantity of about 3000. All Starr revolvers were made at their factories in Binghampton and Yonkers, New York.
