A Scarce Regimentally Marked Light Dragoon by Vernon 1762. With round tapering barrel, engraved ‘XI LD’ and ‘G/2’ stamped with Ordnance proofs (rubbed) plain tang, double border line engraved lock, struck with Ordnance mark beneath the pan, crowned GR and ‘VERNON 1762’ across the tail, full stocked in walnut with raised apron around the tang, regulation brass mounts, comprising side-plate, butt cap, trigger guard, engraved ‘G/2’ on the bow and ramrod pipe, with what appears to be the original brass tipped ramrod. A rare pistol!
