A Scarce Flintlock Pocket Pistol by Barton of London. With round turn-off barrel, slight pitting at the muzzle, decorated with a geometric band at the breech, stamped with Birmingham proofs and tombstone mark, profusely engraved box-lock action, signed ‘I BARTON’ within an oval, decorated with stands of arms and a geometric band at its base, engraved ‘LONDON’ on an oval decorated with stands of arms, fitted with a sliding safety catch that also locks the pan, slab sided walnut grip. A scarce pistol by Barton.
