A Scarce Flintlock Officers Pistol with Sprung Bayonet by Wallis of Hull. With browned tapering octagonal barrel, stamped with London proofs at the breech and a gold poincon signed ‘WALLIS / HULL’ with a single gold line at the breech and fitted with a gold touch hole, fitted with a sprung bayonet, foliate engraved tang with spurred bayonet release catch, stepped bevelled lock, signed ‘WALLIS’ and decorated with flowers at the tail, half-stocked in walnut with a horn fore-end cap, steel trigger guard decorated with a stand of arms on the bow and an earn shaped finial, turned ramrod pipes and brass mounted ramrod with hidden worm.
