A Scarce British Military Sharps Carbine
A Sharps Model 1855 British Carbine, issued to the 6th Dragoons. With round sighted barrel, with single standing/double folding leaf rear sight, the breech with British acceptance/issue marks and London proofs, the action and Maynard primer cover with standard markings, steel fore-end band, brass patch box and butt plate, the butt plate tang stamped, ‘6.D / 707’ walnut stock and fore-end (old repair near lock).
