A Regimental 1896 Pattern Sword for the Hampshire Carabiniers. With straight single edged blade cut with a deep fuller running along tieback edge, etched with scrolling foliage, crowned ER VII cypher, regulation steel honeysuckle hilt incorporating a badge with crossed carbines with a rose at the centre with a crown above, wire bound fish skin grip with chequered back-strap and pommel, in its plated steel scabbard with two suspension rings.
