A Rare 14-Bore Two-Shot Superimposed-Load Pistol by Le Page. With rifled octagonal turn-off barrel, etched with panels of foliate scrolls at the muzzle (small area of dark pitting) and breech, signed in full in Gothic script within a scrolling panel along the top-flat, stamped below with continental proof and ‘2’ patent breech etched en suite with the barrel, pierced platinum plugs, etched tang, signed etched back-action locks, single trigger, figured walnut butt with etched iron butt cap and trigger guard. A scarce and unusual example.
