A Rare General Post Officer Pistol by Wilkinson. With round brass barrel stamped with London proofs at the breech, plain tang and screw, flat bevelled lock, signed ‘WILKINSON” ring neck cock, full-stocked in walnut with a raised apron around the tang, regulation brass mounts comprising side-plate, pommel engraved ‘GPO’ on the right side, with later brass tipped ramrod.

A RARE GENERAL POST OFFICE FLINTLOCK PISTOL of Light Dragoon type, with 9in. brass barrel, signed flat bevelled lock (lightly pitted), ring-neck cock, figured walnut full stock with raised apron around the barrel tang, full regulation brass mounts including pommel engraved ‘GPO’ on the right side, and later brass-tipped ramrod, by Wilkinson, London proof marks, early 19th Century.
