A Rare Four-Barrelled Pistol
A Rare 54 Bore Four-Barrelled Flintlock Tap-Action Pistol by Perry of London, Circa 1770. With tapering turn-off cannon barrel group numbered ‘1’ ‘2’ ‘3’ and ‘4’ stamped below with Tower of London private proofs, brass action profusely engraved and signed ‘London’ on the right, signed ‘Perry’ to the left and fitted with tap-lever, engraved tang, figured walnut butt with silver butt cap depicting scrolling foliage (this has been screwed in place) engraved steel trigger guard decorated with a geometric design on the bow, vacant oval escutcheon.
