A Rare Flintlock Howdah Pistol by Jn. Jones & Co. With browned sighted twist octagonal barrels, with breech engraved ‘London’ and with single gold line, platinum touch-holes, profusely engraved tang, stepped, bevelled lock engraved ‘Jn. Jones & co’ and decorated with scrolling foliage at the tails, both locks fitted with sliding safety catches, profusely engraved cocks, rain-proof pans, figured butt chequered at the grip, with rounded butt with engraved ovoid pommel cap, border engraved trigger guard decorated with a stand of arms in the centre, captive ramrod.
