With sighted octagonal barrel decorated with a geometric band at the muzzle, engraved, ‘J.BEATTIE 223 REGENT STREET LONDON’ along the top flat, folate engraved breech block with single platinum line and platinum touch-hole, profusely engraved tang fitted with rear standing site, signed border engraved lock decorated with scrolling foliage and fitted with a sliding safety catch, full-stocked in walnut cut with chequering at the grip, engraved silver escutcheon, blued mounts comprising trigger guard engraved with scrolling foliage and stylised pineapple finial, turned ramrod pipe and captive ramrod.
