A Pair of Percussion Officers Pistols by Marsh of Mansfield. With sighted octagonal barrels, engraved, ‘MANSFIELD’ along the top-flats, with single platinum lines at the breech, profusely engraved tangs fitted with standing rear-sights, signed border engraved locks decorated with scrolling foliage, converted from flint, cocks decorated en suite, half-stocked in walnut (both pistols missing a slither in front of the locks), cut with chequering at the grips, with vacant silver escutcheons, the butts with engraved silver bands and foliate engraved oval escutcheons in the butt, steel trigger guards engraved with foliage on the bow and pineapple finials, turned ramrod pipes with original brass tipped ramrods with concealed worms. A lovely pair of pistols ideal for casing. One pistol retains more original colour than the other.
