A Pair of Flintlock Overcoat Pistols by William Hole of Bristol. With re-browned sighted octagonal barrels, stamped below with Birmingham proofs and ‘tombstone’ marks, foliate engraved steel tangs, fitted with rear-sights, stepped, bevelled locks, signed ‘WILLIAM HOLE BRISTOL’ and fitted with sliding safety catches, decorated with foliage at the tails and starbursts by the pans, full-stocked in walnut and cut with chequering at the grips, steel trigger guards decorated with stands of art on the bows and pineapple finials, turned ramrod pipes and brass tipped ramrods with steel worms.
