A Named U.S. Civil War Period Carbine
A Named U.S. Civil War Period Carbine. With sighted round barrel, stamped with Liege proofs at the breech, plain tang, the barrel retained by three steel barrel bands, band at the muzzle missing its spring, plain back-action lock and hammer, full-stocked in walnut, with regulation steel mounts.
Interestingly this carbine is signed on the trigger guard with the original owners name, ‘Harry M. Jacquett’ and also signed on the bayonet! I have not seen an example like this before.
