A Scarce .451 L.A.Co Kerr Patent Carbine. With sighted barrel, retained by two steel bands, fitted with a ladder sight and stamped, ‘662’ and ‘KERRS PATENT’ with London proofs and barrel smiths mark at the breech, border engraved tang, border engraved lock, signed 1863 L.A.Co. and with a Crowned V.R. at the tail, full-stocked in walnut, cut with chequering at the wrist and fore-end, with steel fore-end cap, border engraved butt-plate and trigger guard, brass tipped ramrod.
