A Good Pair of Patch lock Pistols by Samuel Nock, London. With browned sighted barrels, each singed in script along the top flat, ‘Samuel Nock Regent Circus’ breeches with single gold line and inlet with gold poincons stamped with a crown and ’S NOCK LONDON’ foliate engraved tangs, signed border engraved flat locks, hammers engraved en suite and each with detachable striker, safety catches, figured half-stocks, each with chequered rounded butt, steel spurred trigger guards each decorated with scrolling foliage and pineapple finials, vacant silver escutcheons, barrel bolt escutcheons and blued engraved fore-end caps, set triggers, and horn tipped ramrods; in original lined and fitted case, lined in green velvet with accessories including brass mounted three-way powder flask, bullet mould, loading mallet, etc, the interior of the lid with makers trade label, the exterior of the lid with circular brass escutcheon engraved with the original owners initials. Pistols retain large amounts of original finish, a nice clean set.
