With blued sighted octagonal to round barrel, retained by a single plain brass barrel band, plain steel tang, elaborately engraved lock, depicting figures and hunting scenes, unusual ‘swing-out pan’ safety, full stocked in walnut with raised foliate mouldings around the tang, trigger guard and ramrod pipes, chased brass mounts comprising side-plate depicting figures in a hunting scene, elaborate escutcheon depicting a hunter and his gun, butt plate decorated with stages and figures, trigger guard decorated with a classic bust and scrolling foliage, turned brass ramrod pipes with original horn-tipped ramrod.
