A Good British Military Percussion Carbine, Dated 1847. With round sighted barrel, dated flat lock with crowned ‘V.R.’ over ‘TOWER’ and dated 1847, full-stocked in walnut and stamped with various British Military inspection marks, regulation brass mounts including butt plate stamped ‘G’ over ’49’ on the heel of the tang, saddle bar ring and stirrup ramrod, Ordnance view and proof marks.
