A Four-Barrelled Pistol

A 120-Bore Continental Four-Barrelled Flintlock Pistol, Circa 1790. With tapering turn-off cannon barrel group (barrels frozen) foliate engraving to the barrel block, engraving mirrored on the steel box-lock action (missing a screw) fitted with sliding safety catch, button on the trigger guard that rotates the barrel block, bulbous walnut butt inlaid with scrolling silver wire (some losses – retaining about 70%) silver foliate engraved butt-cap. A scarce and unusual pistol.
