A Flintlock Pistol From The Union Street Police Office by Hutchinson. With octagonal barrel, stamped with London proofs and engraved, ‘POLICE OFFICE UNION STREET’ along the top flat, foliate engraved tang, stepped bevelled lock, fitted with a sliding safety catch, signed, ’T. K. Hutchinson’ beneath the pan, full-stocked in walnut, with brass mounts comprising shield shaped escutcheon engraved ‘9’ brass butt cap engraved with a flower head, trigger guard decorated with foliage on the bow and pineapple finial, and turned ramrod pipes, with horn tipped ramrod.

This was a pistol that formed part of the Brooker collection and it is noted that it has come from the Wilkinson Collection originally.
