A 10-Bore Flintlock Officers Pistol by J & W Richards, London. With sighted, browned octagonal barrel, stamped with London proofs and Richards own barrel smith mark, decorated with a line of engraving towards the breech, engraved tang, incorporating rear-sight, stepped, bevelled lock, signed ‘J&W RICHARDS’ fitted with a sliding safety catch, full-stocked in walnut with rounded butt, engraved steel mounts comprising trigger guard, engraved with a geometric design on the bow and pineapple finial, engraved ramrod pipes with original horn-tipped ramrod with worm.
