A Flintlock Holster Pistol by Parkes of London. With sighted octagonal to round barrel, decorated with sprays of foliage and engraved ‘LONDON’ along the top flat, stamped with London proofs, border engraved tang decorated with scrolling foliage, stepped beveled lock, signed within a folate wreath and decorated with foliage at the tail, the cock decorated en suite, full-stocked in walnut inlaid with silver decoration around the tang, engraved silver side-plate, vacant oval silver escutcheon, foliate engraved long-eared butt-cap, trigger guard engraved with a flower within a diamond on the bow and acorn finial, with turned ramrod pipes and original horn tipped ramrod with worm.
