A Scarce Flintlock Double Barrel Coaching Carbine by W. Parker. With sighted barrels flared towards the muzzles, signed along the central sighting rib, ‘GUN MAKER TO HIS MAJESTY’ with gold poincon inlet into the breech block, ‘W.PARKER LONDON’ the breech block also with two platinum lines and platinum plugs, profusely engraved breech tang cut with a sighting groove, with stepped bevelled lock, signed ‘W.PARKER’ decorated with scrolling foliage and fitted with sliding safety ctahces, half-stocked in walnut, cut with chequering at the grip, silver escutcheon engraved with the original owners initials, engraved steel furniture comprising butt plate, trigger guard engraved with a dog on the bow and pineapple finial, engraved ramrod throat, with original ramrod with concealed worm.
